What Cities Would You Recommend
Visiting In China?
| Cities of China! In this section of the
website, I will be looking at China tour
travel, the pros and cons and some of the packages that are
available on the market, ranging from the cheap to the exuberantly
opulent. It would reason to begin by getting a handle on the current capital of China, Beijing, previously known as Peking to the Western world. I'll be sharing with you my recommended itinery for Beijing as I know Beijing reasonably well. |

We'll then explore the vibrant
and thriving city of Shanghai, which
heaves with a population greater than that of the entire UK and is
proud of its self-declaration as the business capital of China.
Appoximately one hour from Shanghai by train and a leg of the "silk road" is the lakeside city of Hangzhou and its marvellous relaxing qualities as the vacationing place of preference for nearby Shanghainese. A cycle ride around the lake is well worth the effort and you can hire a bike for about $5-10 for the day if you're lucky.
The ancient Chinese capital city of Xian still has a wall around it to prove it and has some cultural delights which should not be missed by anyone aspiring to visit China and see a variety of cities. Value for money is to be had in Xian and an unbeatable tandem ride around the whole city atop the vast wall that still stands, complete with guard towers and other buildings.
Let's venture together to (yet) another capital, Nanjing, literally translating as "South capital" with its major airport and elegant shopping districts, coupled with historic parks and a thriving local life.
Finally, for those with dreams of Las Vegas in their persona, we can tour Macao and its bright lights, 24/7 casinos, dimly-lit Karaoke rooms and plush hotels. Tour Macao here.
