Here’s a vlog of how we got to Nepal from India.
As we know there are a lot of Indian states such as Uttarakhand , Uttar Pradesh , Sikkim , West Bengal and Bihar who shares their border with Nepal.
There are flights available directly to Nepal too. But since we had not fixed our dates beforehand , flights at the last moment was not the best option we had .
So, we chose the road to Nepal instead and also thought about experiencing the cheapest means to get to Nepal.
We started from Siliguri (West Bengal) and reached Panitanki (border) in around 40 minutes and from there took a tum-tum till kakarvita (Nepal), where we booked our bus to Kathmandu and exchanged our currency and even got a Nepali SIM card. The exchange rate was 1.59 Nepali Rupee of 1 Indian Rupee.
After getting done with all our work there, we had thakali (lunch) and left for Kathmandu at 3:30 pm.
To be continued…..
