So you are going for your first business trip in Guangzhou? And wonder what to pack?
My name is Meibo, I am sourcing agent in Guangzhou. In this video, I am gonna help you pack for your business trip to Guangzhou.
First of all, we need to talk about the weather.Located in sub-tropical area, the climate in Guangzhou is quite warm during the whole year. The average year-round temperature is 23℃. August is the hottest month, with an average temperature of 30℃, but with a high of up to 40℃ in the day and 28℃ at night. January is the coldest month, with an average o 13℃, although it can drop to around 0℃. The weather is generally quite humid (often around 80-90% or more) so the heat can feel more oppressive, and the cold more pervasive. The rainy season falls between April and August. Average annual rainfall is 1,720 mm, and an umbrella is a must.
Chinese locals often dress fairly informally. A simple suit or day dress is appropriate for all official visits, meetings and dinners, and in hot weathera short sleeved shirt with no jacket is perfectly acceptable.
Trousers and day dresses are also perfectly acceptable for women.
For the Canton Fair goers, the weather should be pleasant in April, yet you might come across rain occasionally. It is still pretty hot in October, prepare for the heat and humidity.
Enjoy your trip in Guangzhou.
