The Shanghai Tower is a megatall skyscraper located in the Pudong district of Shanghai, China.

The building is currently the second tallest building in the world with an architectural height of 2,073 feet (631.85 meters).

The observation deck found on floor 121 at 1841.37 feet (561.25 meters) is currently the world’s highest observation deck. There are also observation decks located on floors 118 and 119.

Three ultra-high speed elevators have been utilized to transport passengers to the first observation deck. One of the three installed elevators can reach speeds of 46 mph (73.8 kph), making it the fastest elevator in the world.

The journey seen in this video from level B2 to the observation deck on floor 118, a journey of 120 floors, took only 55 seconds at a speed of 18 meters per second or 40 miles per hour.
